Cheerleading

Cheer creates and promotes school spirit, and encourages quality performance and high academic standards. Through the development of spirit and cheer technique, leadership, cooperation, self-discipline, and sportsmanship in each individual participant, the middle school cheerleader program will encourage their student body and their community through support in the promotion of athletic events and activities.

The district-wide chess program provides students the opportunity to showcase their problem-solving and critical thinking skills at chess tournaments and UIL Chess Puzzle competitions.

Just like traditional sports, esports requires teamwork, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and leadership among every team member to be successful.
Dallas ISD provides us with gaming consoles, controllers, gaming laptops, desktop computers, and other incentives. Students have the opportunity to learn and play games, including Rocket League, Smash Bros., Fortnite, and Mario Kart.

Folklorico

Baile folkloric, literally "folkloric dance" in Spanish, also known as ballet folkloric, is a collective term for traditional Mexican dances that emphasize local folk culture with ballet characteristics - pointed toes, exaggerated movements, highly choreographed.

The University Interscholastic League provides 23 high school and 17 elementary and middle school academic competitions that complement the academic curriculum. Students are challenged to think critically, exhibiting much more than knowledge and comprehension.

The VEX IQ Robotics Competition provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning. The VEX IQ Robotics Competition fosters student development of the teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and communication skills required to prepare them to become the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.
